Nokia 6500 classic
Thin and slim sophistication. The use of a seamless extruded aluminium body gave the product incredible strength and allowed it to be exceptionally thin.
GRO collaborated with Nokia design on projects for production and strategic design exercises from 2003 to 2008.
Quality materials with precise detailing resulted in a highly distinctive and desirable product.
Trend setting
The success of the 6500 classic led to additional variants being introduced. The simplicity of the design meant it worked well in almost any colour.
Dependable quality
The 6500 slider was made from pressed stainless steel, enhancing its robustness and scratch resistance.
Nokia 5300 Xpress Music
An affordable mobile phone to attract young music-loving consumers. Dedicated side-mounted music player keys promote the XpressMusic phone as a music-centred solution.
It was important to create a bold design language that would appeal to a young target audience. The concept challenged Nokia to place the brand name vertically to further enhance the refreshing design signature. A rubberized band surrounds the product providing seamless integration of music keys and a reassuring grip.
