Through a series of workshops we examined a broad range of innovative product solutions and unique applications within four user domains; Personal, Domestic, Public and Business.
The ‘postcard’ radio was the perfect application for this technology. The flat NXT speaker panel covers the whole front surface, producing an astonishing sound performance for such a thin and compact product.
Transparency is another magical property NXT speakers can possess. This allowed us to make a window through the product, enhancing its frame-like lightness.
A small one line display on the top indicates the radio station or frequency.
The speaker driver has been allowed to emerge from the back and is branded with NXT’s logo to highlight their proprietary technology.
Placing the controls on the sides leaves the front free for theme branding and graphic variants.
This design has not yet been produced. GRO would be interested to discuss developing it for production with interested manufacturers.
